高亚洲冰川消融季遥感反照率与年际物质平衡相关性评估及分析

冰川消融季反照率是表征冰川年际物质平衡变化的重要参数之一。高海拔亚洲地区(以下简称高亚洲)冰川类型多样且变化机制复杂,冰面反照率对不同类型冰川的年际物质平衡的表征能力及其区域特征还有待进一步认识。本文基于2000-2019年MODIS冰雪反照率产品和物质平衡时间序列观测数据,分析了高亚洲23条冰川4种消融季反照率参数的变化特征,评估了不同反照率参数与年际物质平衡的相关性,并探讨了反照率变化对不同地区和不同类型冰川的年际物质平衡的影响。结果表明:近20年内,除喜马拉雅西段和祁连山地区的冰川外,其他冰川的反照率均呈下降趋势,消融季最小反照率波动大于平均反照率,后者在相同冰川子区内的年际变化和长期趋势较为一致;共计13条冰川的反照率与年际物质平衡呈现显著线性正相关关系(P<0.05),4种反照率参数中8天合成产品的平均反照率相关性最优;两者线性关系在不同冰川子区和冰川类型中均无明显的区域性分布规律。本文研究可为加深认识冰雪反照率对高亚洲冰川物质平衡的影响规律提供有益参考。

Assessment and analysis of correlation between remote sensing albedo in ablation season and annual mass balance for glaciers in High Mountain Asia
Abstract:

Ablation season albedo is one of the important parameters to characterize the variation of annual glacier mass balance. The types of glaciers in High Mountain Asia are diverse and glacier change mechanism is complex. The ability of glacier surface albedo to characterize the annual mass balance in different types of glaciers, and its regional characteristics need to be further understood. Based on the MODIS ice/snow albedo and mass balance time series from 2000 to 2019, this paper analyzes the variation characteristics of four ablation season albedo parameters of 23 glaciers in the High Mountain Asia, evaluates the correlation between different albedo parameters and annual mass balance, and discusses the impact of albedo change on the annual glacier mass balance in different regions and different types. The results show that in recent 20 years, except for the glaciers in the western Himalayas and Qilian Mountains, the albedo of other glaciers shows a decreased trend, the fluctuation of the minimum albedo in ablation season is more drastic than the averaged albedo, the interannual variation and the long-term trend of albedo are consistent in the same sub-regions; The albedo of 13 glaciers has a significant linear positive correlation with the annual mass balance (P < 0.05). Among the four albedo parameters, the correlation of averaged albedo derived by 8-day composite product is the best; The linear relationship between albedo and mass balance has no obvious regional distribution law in different glaciated sub-regions and types. This study can provide a useful reference for deepening the understanding of the influence of ice and snow albedo on glacier mass balance in the High Mountain Asia.
