The experiment of land clutter measurement, which was implemented at X-band, VV polarization in an outfield , is summarized. This paper includes the description of microwave measurement system, measurement principle and measurement contents. The results and analysis of backscattering coefficients are provided. The measured terrain consists of dry lawn fields, exposed soil, green wheat fields.
